Oh my goodness....the chef is fantastic! I almost cried when they brought gluten free rolls. My husband's steak was excellent. The service was great! Our new favorite place. So worth the ride from Perry, NY.

Celebrated my 45th birthday at Yard of Ale. Our server was extremely friendly. Our food was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. My wife and I shared homemade cookies n’ cream ice cream and it was so good. I highly recommend Yard of Ale!!! Stop by and give it a try!

Surprisingly delicious food for the location. One of the only places south of Rochester with delicious fresh seafood as well as perfectly cooked steak. Interesting atmosphere as it is housed in an old house with antique furniture and drapings. Good prices and stellar food.

Escargot special was exeptional! Wish they would make it part of the normal menu! The rest of the meal was great as usual!

I find the Yard of Ale to be a restaurant with consistant quality, locally sourced, food. In the restaurant or at a catered event.

I love the yard of Ale every time I am in the Geneseo area we stop in. I always get the filet mignon and they have the best Cosmopolitan I've ever had. Very friendly staff.

A culinary oasis in the middle of nowhere. Friendly, professional service. Solid "country inn" fare, but always experimenting to give us some new twist to an old favorite.

Expensive. We went on Easter hoping to order from the tavern menu we saw online. Being Easter, they had a limited menu. The food was good, but over-salted. I think we were seated in what served as the staff's hallway. The place wasn't busy, but the staff traffic was constant. The staff was attentive. The portion size was generous. The prices were too high. Wouldn't put too much stock in a holiday experience. The locals seem to love this place for special occasions; it came highly recommended.

We have been many times for dinner and the food and service is always excellent. We have many gluten-free family members and they are very knowledgeable and have many GF entrees as well as desserts. Great restaurant for outings with family or friends.

Great staff, amazing food!

Food was good but service was iffy. Server seemed to question my wife's judgement when she said her filet was overcooked. She had ordered medium rare and it was served medium well. Also ordered wine to go with my entree and it did not arrive until I was nearly finished with my meal.

Very nice place for dinner. Don't believe they offer lunches. Food is good, and menu options are also. Has always been clean and neat when I have been there. Nice atmosphere. Dinnertime is quiet. I find it a nice place to join friends for dinner.

I have wanted to eat here for years and stopped on the way back from a business trip. It's quaint, charming, cozy and clean. The service was excellent. Prime rib was flavorful and done to perfection. French onion soup delicious. Homemade ice cream...save room!!

We had a wonderful visit at the Yard Of Ale. The service was exceptional and the food was exquisite for the price. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We dined in an area to our own.

Hands down I was very pleased with the hospitality and over all service. Food was excellent! We will be coming back highly suggest.

Went to celebrate friends Birthday. Party of 4. Cool building, great food, wait staff was attentive and what I expect when dining out. Seafood was cooked excellent and decent portions. I will come here again for sure. I forgot to take pictures so I will hope to remember next time. Nice place just NW of Geneseo NY

A hidden gem that will impress any date or meeting engagement. Perfectly done meals with a intimate setting. Plus meeting rooms and a nicely separated bar area that allows you to take in a game if you so choose as well.

Just had another amazing dinner here!!! This place is always on point...great food...great presentation...great service...each and every time! Our server was Laurie...and she was very accommodating to our every need! This is THE BEST restaurant around...period!
